Latest project

There are always lots of new projects going on around here.

This one is for my neighbor who just found out she has breast cancer.
It's from all of the women on our cul-de-sac.  I finished putting it together late last night.  I got a dark brown dot minky to back it with [for extra warmth while she goes to her chemo treatments!]  We're praying for you Chris!

P.S. If you haven't entered my latest giveaway, there are 2 days left.  Don't miss your chance to win my new pattern, a Bliss Layer Cake and one of 3 Gem Packs.

  1. Amber, What a beautiful quilt! I'm sure your neighbor will feel she's wrapped with love when she recieves it. My sister inlaw Chris just found out she has breast cancer back again for the second time. We are making her a quilt also. Will keep your neighbor in my thoughts and prayers.

  5. Hello Amber...one of my dear friends just completed the last of her treatments and I gave her one of my quilts with a flannel back and a foot pocket...she laughed at first, thinking "this is odd" but later told me the love that was in all those stitches, filled the pocket with warmth...You can never underestimate the power of a LOVE gesture...how lucky for your dear neighbor...There is no doubt she will be comforted by your love...
and it is just perfect, love the polka dots..

  7. Amber, I remember reading a while back that the ladies in your cul de sac were making this. It turned out beautifully. The Minky will be perfect. Not just warm, but also comfy on her tender skin too. I know that when she is wrapped up in this beautiful quilt, she will also be comforted by the love and thoughtfulness that went into every stitch. A gift, straight from your hearts. I will keep Chris in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs...
