The beginning of the end

Oh my gosh. The big day finally came. I had to drop Blake off at Kindergarten today!!! It was bittersweet. Mostly sweet, but right at that moment when the line of kids started walking into class for the first time, I almost wanted to cry. I had heard about parents crying so much on the first day of Kindergarten, but didn't really see myself as one of them. I didn't cry, but it did tug at my heartstrings a little. My little baby boy is not a baby anymore! I know he will love school and will do great, but he must've been a little nervous, because he was aking for lots of hugs this morning. He must've given Ryan at least a half dozen before Ryan went to work. It's exciting and scary all at the same time. But we survived! I have to go pick him up now. I can't wait to find out how the big day went. By the way, he is DYING to ride the bus! I had to talk him into letting me take him today so I could take pictures and then tomorrow will be the first day to ride the bus. They think it is so cool for some reason...

  1. School already? Isn't it summer still? He looks so cute and ready to go. I can't believe he's old enough for kindergarden!

  2. So how did it go? I can't believe he's already 5. Time is flying by. (IT is much cooler to ride the bus, than have mom take you). :)

  3. What a big kid. You are so right when you say "the beginning of the end", that's all I could think of when I sent Nolan to school the first time. Just blink...right?
    miss you and love you.
