Spools pattern by Camille Roskelley.

Sassy Stitchers (UT) 2013.

We had a fun time making spools blocks for each other and finally got our group picture last night.  Now we're onto the next project!

Details about our swap can be found HERE.

Are you in a swap or guild?  What fun projects do you together?

I posted about our HST triangle exchange last night on Instagram.
Yeah, I'm finally on (don't worry - I'm always behind the times when it comes to things like that).  But it's addicting.  And fun.
You can follow me at gigisthimble if you'd like :)

Happy quilting!

  4. My club recently celebrated it's 10yr anniversary (I've only been in for 3 yrs) so we made each other a "friendship" quilt to commemorate. Each month last year the host picked her "colors," then the rest of us made her a 12.5" block in her color choice. We could make any type block we wanted. It was such a fun thing to be a part of. This year everyone is finishing up there quilts. It has been fun to see them come together. Each different and unique to each person.

  8. I am wise to you. When you are not blogging every day I know you will be back with something amazing. The spools look great.
Back a wee bit you shared a black & tan pinwheel quilt. Well my niece thought black & tan was just great...so guess what I am making for her wedding quilt?! Now her older brother thinks he wants one too!
    Keep those ideas coming!

  10. Victoria,

Thank you so much! That made my day to hear. Sometimes I feel bad that I don't blog more often. My blog is pretty "small time" compared to many others that I like but I do the best I can. I don't seem to be able to blog more than once or twice a week at the most but that's what works for me. I try live a somewhat balanced life. It's hard to juggle everything though - being a wife, a mother, a pattern designer, a blogger, a fabric store employee, a busy Christian, staying up on social media, etc. I just hope that I can share my love of quilting with others and maybe inspire someone (a little) along the way...

Thanks again for your kind comment! :)
