County Fair Kid Winner {and a really cool random thought}

Thank you to those of you who commented about County Fair Kid.
You guys are super sweet.

Mamabug left this comment,
"Very cute and well done to boot. I too am a country kid and love the name!! Thanks for the chance of winning."

Aaand I picked her name.
Aaand she won.
Aaand I have no way to get in contact with her.

So mamabug, shoot me an email and I'll get this little prize package right out to you, K?  Thanks again to everyone for playing!

So it might be one of those stay-in-my-pajamas-and-sew-days, for me.  My allergies are killing me and I feel like I might have strep on top of that.  It's time for mama to have a "rest day".   I think I could probably squeeze in some good sewing time too, though.

Oh, so here's a really random thought -

There should be a National Stay-In-Your-P.J.'s-And-Sew-All-Day-Long-Day.
Where you're not allowed to cook or clean or run kids to and fro or work in your yard or work at your work or be on the computer or walk the dog.
Or shower.  You just sew and that's all.

Doesn't that sound nice?
I might have to head that up...
Would you join me if I did?
What if we all just did that?  And just sewed all day long?  Think of all the UFO's we could tackle!  It would be awesome!!!

OK.  I'll stop.

But a girl can dream can't she?

  1. This day sounds a bit like a day at quilt retreat...except I do shower while I'm there. AND I am for making it a monthly, national holiday. (I thought "weekly" but that sounds kind of greedy)

  2. I like sew all day idea! You should run for office!

  3. Every once in a while I give myself one of those days...and I move my sewing table in front of the big screen TV and sew while watching movies that only I want to see. I love retirement.

  4. In my neck of the woods those are called "snew days" in the winter.

  5. As a fairly new retiree, almost every day can be a sew day! I love it...and I continue to be inspired by the younger generation...go girl! I may not be in my Jammie's, but I am in my sewing corner wearing some really comfortable yoga pants!

  6. Great idea for a whole day!
I tend to get distracted a lot! Would be nice to have the house to myself to sew like crazy! =D

  7. What a cute pattern, Amber. I missed the giveaway, but congrats to mamabug. I hope she contacts you, but if she doesn't you could just send it my way. LOL I like your idea of sewing all day. I try sometimes, but something always comes up.
Hope you had a good Mother's Day.

  9. I vote that we create and set aside 2 Official days a month!!!
1 to sew as we please and 1 to sew for a charitable cause.
Now to find someone who is equally passionate about cooking....and have their days dedicated to cooking be the same......and then find some one who is passionate about cleaning, oh wait, that's dreaming. :D But the cooking idea linked with our 2 official days to sew, now that could work!
